Free To Be Me

Hi and welcome to my blog. I started this online diary as a way to keep myself focused on one of my favorite hobbies, writing. I have loved writing as far back as I can remember although this type of writing is new for me. I may take breaks, but I always come back to my first love.  A friend once said of writing, after being away from it for a while, “It’s like finding an old friend.” and I agree.

I am a single mom with two absolutely awesome, brilliant children. I love animals and pretty much have a zoo at my house.  I am blessed with some of the coolest friends anyone could ask for and I live in a fantastic city. I love live music and frequently attend shows, usually singer/songwriter style. I live in what has been touted as “The Live Music Capital of the World“, so you can pretty much throw a rock in any direction and hit a musician. Lucky for  me :)

I have two completed books,  a Children’s Story and  a Women’s Fiction Novel. I haven’t found the courage to send them off or make them public so I’m hoping this blog helps me get over that fear. Enough about me. I hope you enjoy and come back for a visit from time to time. Finding a friend whose words touch your heart and makes a smile reach your eyes is a great gift.
